What is Elevator pitch?

An elevator pitch is a 30 to 60 second explanation of what your company does, for whom, and why it matters, short enough to deliver in a brief conversation and clear enough to be repeated.

Example

"We help independent physiotherapy clinics fill cancelled slots automatically. Clinics lose about 15% of revenue to no-shows; our tool rebooks those slots from a waitlist, and our first 30 clinics recovered $2,000 a month each."

Why it matters for early-stage founders

You are introduced, asked "what do you do?" and judged in seconds, by investors, customers and potential hires. A sharp pitch turns those moments into follow-ups.

The common mistake

Starting with technology or the company history. Lead with the customer and the problem, then the result.
